Bougainvillea flow on the porch

he sits in the mud - fungus
mosquito buzz the ear - sting
break the silence - silence come

rain keeps falling - always
wait - they will be here soon
the Thompson rests on his knee

a siren blows past
shimmer the Bougainvillea

Is - I a man a dream
or solid in the hand
nothing more or little
is a man - a dream

more important is the
accomplishments he is
or is a man a dream
which is the goal at hand

and now so try a
new beginning I am now
someone else

is this so a new
beginning is a now we
are an old
